WCRA Membership and Administraton

rights and responsibilties of all WCRA members.
Membership News (from Spring Newsletter)
The Membership dues remain steady at $415. Accompanying your newsletter
is a WCRA invoice. Please review it, make any necessary changes to the membership information section,
and indicate any WCRA activities for which you would like to volunteer. Return the invoice along with
your payment to WCRA, P.O. Box 1248, Springfield, VA 22151.
Please note that our Bylaws require a 15% penalty ($62) for any moneys owed that are postmarked
after May 1, 2008.
Picture Day and ID Cardss
You are required to have a membership ID card on file at the pool. PICTURE DAY will be May 18, 2008 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Our pool manager and the lifeguards have been instructed to enforce the ID rule. ANYONE WITHOUT AN ID CARD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE THE FACILITIES. If you need to update your family ID card, please do so on Picture Day.
Guest Passes
We will provide each family with two complimentary guest passes, available for pickup on Picture Day or at the pool desk. You may purchase an additional 25 guest passes (in books of 5) before the season for the discounted price of $1 per pass. Remember, you will need guest passes for all of your guests, including any planned parties and/or visits from relatives (including children) who are not members of your immediate household. Guest passes are an important source of revenue for the pool, so please help us enforce this rule. Once the season begins, the pre-season discounts end and guest passes will cost $5 each, so now is the time to purchase.
Summer Assignment
WCRA has a summer assignment program for those members not planning to use the facilities this year. Those who want to assign will indicate their desire on the invoice. Based on recent experience, it is likely that we will not be able to satisfy all assignment requests this summer. WCRA summer assigns on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you want to assign, send in your payment as soon as possible.
To streamline the process, we will subtract the $25 assignment fee from the refunded dues when assignment occurs.
Please note that the member’s assignment request will not be logged until we receive the Annual dues of $415 – once the membership is assigned and annual dues received from the summer assignment family, $390 will be refunded ($415 annual dues less $25 assignment fee) to the member. A member requesting assignment is free to utilize their membership until they are advised that the membership has been assigned.
